Sup gamers, it's ya boy Shake. Forget the corporate gaming media, I'm here to drop truth bombs and peek truths, all with a healthy dose of dank memes and pwnage. Today, we gotta talk about Valorant. This tac FPS just dropped on PC from those legends at Riot Games, and it's pretty freakin' lit my dude. Only problem? Us loyal console brethren are stuck waiting in the wings while PC master race gets all the action. Not for long if I have anything to say about it!
You know Rito's gonna port this beauty to PS5 and Xbox Series X - yeah the new consoles ain't out yet but you know that's a 2021 lock. Rito's gonna leave cash on the table if they don't, and they ain't about that life. But here's the tea: they gon' announce this with a surprise drop BEFORE the consoles launch. WHUT? It's the only play that makes sense. Announce then drop Valorant on next-gen on release day, and you'll get the hype floodgates bursting open. Everyone who played the hell outta Valorant on PC for months gonna jump to cop the console version, and all us console-only plebs who been thirsting for a new hardcore tac shooter will swallow it up too.
Now how's it gonna control on console, I hear you asking? How Would Console Valorant Changes Affect Boosting? That's the one wrinkle, since m+k is life for FPS like this. Don't worry, Rito's got this - they'll offer multiple control options (duh) and have some minimal aim assist to keep up the competitive play without making it too casual. Any more aim assist and the PC pros are gonna be out for blood anyway. And cross-play? Maybe limited to input-based matchmaking if at all - ain't trying to get smoked by m+k gods as a console controller pleb, feel me?
So that's the lowdown - Valorant surprise launching on PS5/Series X day one, and it's gonna bless us console peasants with its ridiculously precise shooting and clutch plays. Until that glorious day, guess I'll just have to keep on pwnin' in CoD and Apex...but we know what the main event is gonna be soon enough!
